Fishwives Causeway Craigentinny Sewer Repair

We are carrying out emergency sewer repair works on Fishwives Causeway, Craigentinny.

Due to the complex nature of these works – two collapses and a sinkhole on the main sewer line – we have had to close a section of Fishwives Causeway just before the junction of Baileyfield Cresent for the safety of the public and our operatives.

Residents will be able to use Baileyfield Crescent to rejoin Sir Harry Lauder Road.

Work will begin from Monday, 24 August, however; at this stage it is too early to say how long the road closure will be in place. We will have a better idea once the damaged sewer has been exposed and surveyed.

We apologise for any disruption and thank residents, businesses and road users for their patience and understanding while we complete these essential repairs.
