Road closure on Gaberston Avenue to allow for emergency sewer repairs

We are currently carrying out emergency sewer repair works which are taking place on Gaberston Avenue in Alloa, requiring a road closure.

Investigations to survey and clear blockages on the line have revealed damage to the sewer which needs to be repaired in order to maintain and improve the long-term efficiency of the network.

The damaged sewer line is located 4.6 metres underground and so, for the safety of the public and our operatives we need to put a closure in place on Gaberston Avenue from Wednesday 29 July 2026.

At this stage it is too early to say how long the road closure will be in place. We will have a better idea once the damaged sewer has been exposed.

Access will be maintained for residents, however some driveways will be restricted. We are writing to customers living locally and our site team are speaking to those impacted.

These works will be carried out on our behalf by Clancy and the site team will do everything they can to minimise disruption.

We appreciate the road closure will cause disruption locally and thank the community for their patience and understanding while our teams work to complete these essential repairs as safely and efficiently as possible.
