Sewer repairs
Work is due to begin on Monday 13 July
We will be carrying out repairs to the sewer network in Haddington which require a road closure.
This repair is critical to maintaining and improving the long-term efficiency of the sewer network.
In order to carry this work out safely we will need to put a closure in place on Newton Port between the junctions with Caulders Lawn and Market Street from Monday 13 July 2026 for approximately three weeks.
The road will be closed between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday for the duration of the works. However, vehicle access will be provided at various times throughout the day as outlined below. A temporary access point is also being created for the car park at Tyne Medical Practice.
Monday – Friday opening times:
8.40am – 9.10am
12.00pm - 12.30pm
2.50pm – 3.30pm
We appreciate that these works may cause disruption and we thank the community in advance for their patience and understanding.
These works will be carried out on our behalf by Clancy. Operatives will work with the community to minimise disruption.
