What We Are Doing
Element 4 - Stobcross Street, Coatbridge, ML5 1BE
This element of the project will involve the installation of approximately 160 metres of new pipework and five new manholes. The work will take place in a wooded area between two railway lines in Coatbridge, close to Stobcross Street.
Due to the depth of the new pipework, which will be installed around 10 metres below ground level, a large cofferdam will be required to allow the work to be carried out safely. To facilitate the project, the existing path between Forrestburn Road and Stobcross Street will be temporarily diverted, and a temporary access road will be constructed for use by Network Rail.
For safety and security, the site will be enclosed with Heras fencing and monitored by CCTV, with a welfare unit also located on site for the workforce.
Construction dates for this phase are currently being finalised. Further details will be provided and this page will be updated once arrangements have been confirmed.
