What We Are Doing

Element 1 - Craigens Road, Airdrie, ML6 8NN

The work at this location is taking place on private land off Craigens Road, adjacent to the North Calder Water. Around 80 metres of new storage pipe, along with six new manholes, will be installed as part of the project.

Construction began on Monday, 10 August, and is expected to take approximately eight weeks to complete.

For safety and security, the site will be enclosed with Heras fencing and monitored by CCTV. A small welfare unit will also be located on site for the workforce.

A temporary Portadam system will be installed to help manage river flows and provide a safe working area while construction is underway.

Some trees will need to be removed to facilitate the works. We are working with the landowner to explore opportunities to enhance the area once construction is complete.
