Perth Road Dundee

We are carrying out essential sewer repair works on Perth Road in Dundee, requiring a road closure.

Work to safely repair and upgrade a collapsed section of sewer began on Monday 11 May.

In order to enable our operatives to carry this work out safely, Perth Road will be closed to vehicles between the junctions of Shepherds Loan and Taylors Lane for the duration of the works.

A diversion route is in place and road users are asked to follow all diversion signs and allow extra time for journeys particularly at peak times. Bus services are being diverted via Hawkhill.

During our work customers may notice some noise from plant and equipment, including the use of over-pumping that may operate overnight. We will do our best to mitigate any disruption where possible.

Update June 2026

Work has been progressing well, and we are now in the process of relining the sewer.

In order to finish this work, we require to extend the traffic management that is currently in place to include an additional lane closure between Taylors Lane and Union Place as of Monday, 15 June 2026.

We expect to have all associated work completed by the end of June.

Local businesses remain open as usual and pedestrian access will be maintained via footpaths.
