Robertson Avenue

We are preparing to carry out repairs to a damaged sewer underneath Robertson Avenue in Edinburgh.

Work will begin to excavate and then carry out this repair from Tuesday 16 June 2026.

In order to carry this work out safely, temporary four-way traffic lights will be in place at the junction of Robertson Avenue and Gorgie Road. We anticipate these repairs will take up to five days to complete.

We have worked closely with Network Rail to plan the safe delivery of these works and will do everything we can to complete the repairs as quickly as we can.

The nearby full closure of Gorgie Road has been taken into consideration when planning the work. 

We appreciate that this additional traffic management may cause disruption for those living and working in the community and we thank everyone impacted in advance for their patience and understanding while we carry out these essential works.
