Newlyweds at Callender Top Up Tap

Love was well and truly on tap after a bride and groom swapped champagne for Scotland’s finest drinking water following their wedding.

Natasha and Ewan Newton had just tied the knot when they stopped off to top up at Scottish Water's tap in Callender Park.

The newlyweds, from Sauchie, posed for pictures next to the refill tap after filling up as part of their special day.

Beauty therapist Natasha, 31, and her new husband Ewan, 32, a groundsman, said the fun stop-off perfectly captured their laid-back wedding at nearby Callender House.

Natasha said:

"It was a day about love and we love our tap water, so we thought it'd be fun to pose next to the tap - and make sure we topped up with water to keep us going.

"We love the water where we are and miss it when we are away, so we'll need to top up and take some with us when we go to Rome on honeymoon."

The couple, who have been together for four years, laughed as passers-by stopped to congratulate them and snap photos of the unusual post-wedding pit stop.

And while most newlyweds head straight for cocktails and champagne, Natasha and Ewan proved the secret to a happy marriage might just be staying hydrated with love, laughter and a wee bit of Scottish Water.
